So yeah, that’s me in the giant goofy robot costume in the back. 🙂 I don’t know what it is, but I always have the urge to build some bulky, nonfunctional, horribly designed costume each year.
Most years, my wife can rein me in and put me on the track to a more grounded costume, but every so often I think she lets me come up with whatever I want. This was our B-movie monster year. I thought it was pretty awesome that the overall color scheme came out to be black and white, which is where most of the classic B monsters come from. Of course we have some reds and greens in there, but definitely much more muted than previous years with Superheroes and video game characters.
I went all out on this one, I even built stilts and an antenna like head 🙂 I think overall the costume was like 7’1″. Main thing is that everyone had fun.
This year’s theme is ‘FOOD’ so we’ll see what everyone comes up with 🙂
